Project Information

We partnered with Flatbush Cats to create Underfoot, a six-episode documentary podcast examining the overlooked cat crisis in New York City and the people working to address it. Developed over the course of a year, the series connects small, everyday acts of compassion to much larger systems of care, including housing, affordability, and access to resources.

Having worked with Flatbush Cats for several years, this project grew from a shared belief in the power of storytelling to drive empathy and understanding. The series centers on interviews with neighbors, volunteers, and advocates who step in when formal systems fall short—and what it takes to imagine more humane solutions.

Underfoot was an ambitious, fast-moving collaboration, built through close partnership and a deep alignment around mission. The project was released as a six-part podcast series and supported editorially through Flatbush Cats’ Substack and community channels.
